Gumboils are welding
For automatic and semi-automatic arc and electroslag welding use loose substance - gumboil under which layer the arch burns or there is a process of electroslag welding.
The melting gumboils applied at electric welding provide reliable protection of a zone of welding against atmospheric gases, create conditions of steady burning of an arch, provide good formation of a seam. Seams turn out dense, resistant to crystallizational cracks. After cooling of a seam the slag crust easily is removed. Gumboils provide the smallest release of dust and gases, unhealthy the welder.
